Optimized cooling concepts of high-performance Li-ion storage
The efficient operation of the electrical storage (generally high–performance lithium–ion batteries) fundamentally depends on the temperatures in the core of each single storage element. To develop and evaluate different cooling concepts with regard to their cooling properties, the temperature development inside the elements during operation need to be specified in a quantitative way. In this regard, two of the core characteristics for the optimization are the system’s operating state and life time. The aim of the research at the Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer is to identify the thermo technical requirements for an efficient operation.
